First Purchase for Amazon on the Eastside (Potentially)
Amazon is at it once again!
According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Amazon is most likely the buyer of the Bellevue Corporate Plaza, located on 108th Avenue NE in Bellevue. If this were to happen, this would be the first purchase in office space for Amazon on the Eastside. Currently, the tech giant is leasing over one million square feet of office space on the Eastside. Sources say multiple buyers are interested in the 10-story property.
The owner of Bellevue Corporate Plaza, Equity Commonwealth, has been planning a two-tower project named Bellevue 600 for the property. The proposed project includes a 450-foot office building, a hotel, retail space and parking, and a parking garage with 2,000 parking stalls. Equity Commonwealth also owns Tower 333 (Expedia’s current headquarters) which will be leased by Amazon in 2020.
