Dip in Seattle Prices
Seattle and Eastside buyers have seen an increase in inventory and drop in record-setting prices over the last few months. While this may sound like a relief for all buyers, some of those buyers are still unhappy to see that outer areas of the Puget Sound region and neighborhoods with lower price points are still seeing the same old competitive market.
According to the Seattle Times, single-family home prices across the region (King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties) grew 12.1 percent in July from a year prior. Homes located on the outer edges of these counties saw a 16 percent bump (anything under $410,000).
There are still signs that the Seattle market will continue spreading outward to surrounding regions. Prices continue to drop faintly on a month-over-month basis for pricier homes and increased slightly for cheaper homes.
